I do love reading Rowland Taylor's Ghost: the spectre is a very entertaining and eloquent wordsmith. I just wish his numeracy and fact-checking were up to the same standard.

His recent assessment of the state of the Babergh administration and the reasons for the changes in the number of Conservative councillors are way off the mark. Firstly, there were 28 (out of 43) councillors in my group when I first became leader in January 2018.

Family fun as Babergh backs Abbeycroft Leisure and Explore Adventure activities day

Babergh's children, including those from Hadleigh, continue to benefit from fun activities during the school holidays, including family park cookery sessions, which cabinet member for communities Cllr Derek Davis visited today.

The council has partnered with Abbeycroft Leisure and Explore Outdoor to offer the outdoor cooking masterclasses to families in need during the October half-term – cementing its commitment to reducing health inequalities, as set out in its recently adopted Wellbeing Strategy.
