Local film and historian students, 17 year olds Harrison Drane and Alfie Cutts, have recently created a short documentary about Suffolks history called: "Silly Suffolk."
The documentary was created as part of a college project and has since been uploaded to YouTube.
The documentary takes a light and fun approach towards Suffolk's fascinating history. Within the project Alfie and Harrison go into some of Hadleigh's Viking past, with Guthrum reputedly buried near the church.
Alfie said: "It is fascinating to know that a Viking king is most likely buried under the church yard. I would like to find out more about viking history because there isn't really too much written about it.
"There's a lot of history to do with anglo saxons in Suffolk with Sutton Hoo and there's a lot of representation there.
"The Vikings despite being portrayed as rapists and pillagers in a lot of media, contributed highly to the English language as we know it now.
"Guthrum was interesting because he converted to christianity and formed the Dane Law and as someone associated to Hadleigh he also fought Alfred the Great."
The boys said they were interested in making the film because they wanted to present history in a more light hearted fashion.
Alfie said: "We wanted to make this as we are just passionate for local history and I believe that much of the telling of history is too formal.
"I grew up with history being told through the show horrible histories and it made it funny and relevant, this makes you want to study history further.
"I disagree with everything needing to be 100% fact, you need to introduce some sort of entertainment to grab a wider audience, and if it makes them more interested they will want to go off and do more research.
"Im a big advocate to portraying history to make it more accessible to people it normally wouldn't be."
Within the film Harrison had to take a roll down a hill as part of a comedic bit Alfie said: "This was difficult to shoot as you only have a certain number of takes as you don't want to keep sending him rolling down the hill."
Both film makers are looking forward to their next projects, these two passionate historians might be the future history makers.
