Kudzai Maunze hit 106 runs, and took four wickets as Hadleigh Cricket Club romped to a 129 run victory over Coggeshall in their final game of the Two Counties Division One season.

The Zimbabwean international, who has been Hadleigh's overseas player for four seasons was in majestic form on a sun-drenched Friars Road ground on the hottest day of the year so far.

In what could well have been his last competitive game for Hadleigh, Maunze reached his century with a six, before nicking a single but was then caught on the boundary by Josh Morton from an Edward King delivery, being out with 106 runs from 109 balls.

Hadleigh went in 264 for seven in the 50 overs game, then ripped through the Coggeshall side with Maunze taking four wickets for 25 runs in eight overs, as the visitors were all out for 135.

Jamie Colcomb also posted good figures, finishing four runs shy of his half century with the bat, while Thomas Piddington took three wickets for just nine runs.

A good crowd enjoyed the new decking to watch Hadleigh, sponsored by Kingsley Healthcare, which runs Hadleigh Nursing Home, finishing the Division One season in third place behind winners Halstead and second placed Clacton after winning 14 games, losing just four, with two games cancelled and two abandoned due to poor weather.
