Air ambulance attended fatal collision at Hintlesham

A Hadleigh woman has died following a serious collision on the A1071 at Hintlesham, police have today confirmed.

Officers were called shortly after 5.35pm yesterday, Monday 29 March, to reports of a collision involving a Honda motorcycle and three cars – Ford S Max, Ford Mondeo and Mini Cooper.

An ambulance and air ambulance were also in attendance and the motorcyclist – a woman aged in her 30s – was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later at the scene.

Pending formal Coroner's inquest proceedings, police have provisionally identified the deceased as Daniella Milburn, aged 33, from Hadleigh.

Road closures were put in place while an investigation was carried out. The closures were lifted earlier this morning, Tuesday 30 March.

Officers would like to anyone who may have witnessed the manner of driving of the vehicles involved shortly before the incident.

Any witnesses, or anyone driving along the road immediately prior to the collision with a dash-cam, are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference CAD 288 of 29 March 2021.
