Midweek Music Lyrics by Suffolk songsters

A strand of silver hanging through the sky

Touching more than you see

The voice of ages in your mind

Is aching with the dead of the night

Precious life (your tears are lost in

Falling rain)

And if you hear me talking on the wind

You've got to understand

We must remain

Perfect strangers

Rick Wakeman (Perfect Strangers)

Brits: They drive a German car. They go to Irish pubs, to drink Belgium beer. They get a Chinese takeaway on the way back. They sit on Swedish furniture, to watch American films, on a Japanese TV.

Most of all though they are suspicious of all things foreign.

[I]Told by Rick Wakeman while on tour.[I]

On This Day

In 1987... The picture 'Sunflowers', painted by Vincent van Gogh was sold at auction by Christie's for £24,750,000.

Van Gogh took his own life and died with insanity, and a virtual pauper after mainly giving away his paintings in exchange for goods, but never selling any of what were to become masterpieces, selling for millions.

Apparently, it's good to talk to your sunflowers. I tried to teach my sunflowers mathematics, but they ended up with square roots.
