So, I have had a reply from the Council meeting I attended and complained about a member of staff, this is the reply.

At this point please try and contain your laughter for the Adult Pantomimes you may be visiting.

Keep in mind my complaint was spoken in public and approx 7.15 Thursday 18th Jan. I had this reply at 12.37 Monday 23rd. So, we have a weekend in between of which the offices are not opened. The town Clerk arrived late on Friday as she claims her car had broken down, I believe she is the one who has access to the database etc. ( Friday was the day our MP James Cartlidge was visiting the Archive group ) but she arrived after this.

So, how do approx. 12 councillors operate an independent investigate each in a little under 10 hours of work time? Who did they contact to get evidence? Keep in mind the reply states 'the town considers' ( meaning all councillors ) agree, so each one had done their own investigation in 10 hours?

The irony being that when I left the meeting they did not and have not asked me for the evidence I have. The others involved have not been asked for evidence either. What a strange way to look into a complaint..

You actually would be hard pushed to write this s**t, if Zig n Zag appeared on the signature It would be more fitting.

I would also ask you the read the reply carefully, as it contains the biggest gaping hole which I cannot wait to discuss with them on stage 3 of the complaint.

And to add insult to injury for them, an X town councillor has emailed all existing councillors saying how did it get this far and how it was wrong and it was not an issue. However, then states that she saw the data breach on her home computer within the archives...

This was the best thing that could of happened as she has now rubber stamped exactly the breach, I thank her for that even though the email was actually aimed not in my favour...

This was leaked into Social media where I was tagged in to view, again, thanks for that Scotty!

I have also been advised from a well-informed person that the Hadleigh Town Council Archives are now looking to move the archives to Bury St Edmunds as they are seen as a 'Burden' to the Hadleigh Town Council and clearly hold no value for them.

Here is the 'worded' reply to me and in fact to all of those that may have data stored within the Hadleigh Town council.

Dear Mr Bevis,

Your Stage 2 Complaint was discussed at the Full Council meeting on 18th January 2024 and Councillors agreed to the following response:

There has not been a breach of data, as defined by the UK General Data Protection Regulations, under the control of Hadleigh Town Council. We are aware that there was an issue which started on an independent system that we had no oversight of. As soon as we were made aware we restricted access to our own database and took appropriate action. The Council considers the Town Clerk's action appropriate to the circumstances.

Kind regards,

Gordon McLeod
