Christmas 2022

Rowland Taylor's ghost and Guthrum's spirit are very quick to write to the Nub's readers when they are complaining about Hadleigh town council staff and the Mayor but I note they do not comment when things have gone well, hence no report on the Christmas trees and the lighting up ceremony.

Trees this year were put up as previously by a team of volunteers, organised by the council, and with the volunteers usual helpful good cheer.

Last Saturdays street Fare and lighting up was a great success. The shops and stalls looked to be busy and we Hadleigh residents turned out in our droves to enjoy the event.

Rowland Taylor's boss was very kind in arranging a dry, if a little cold night, and I am sure that the majority of us enjoyed the event.

My thanks go to the town council staff for organising the event and working at least a twelve hour day setting it up, ensuring it ran smoothly and clearing up after the event, and to the volunteers and groups that helped. My thanks to you all.
