Campaigners fighting for improvements to NHS dental services in Suffolk have met with some of the people responsible for the growing crisis to share the testimonies of local people and demand action to address the system's failings.

Toothless in Suffolk campaigners Steve Marsling, Mark Jones, and NHS dentist Helen Duncan, yesterday (28 September) met with the commissioners of the NHS England and NHS Improvement for the East of England, who are responsible for the delivery of NHS dental services in the region.

Fuel shortages caused by too few HGV drivers

Business leaders in Suffolk have called on Hadleigh MP James Cartridge to put pressure on the Conservative government to increase the number of visas issued to HGV drivers from the EU.

Fuel shortages, sparked by panic buying after the Road Haulage Society warned of driver shortages, which led to BP garages not receiving supplies, along with supermarkets shelves not being filled with goods, have been a result in the lack of HGV drivers.

Babergh councillors have given the go-ahead to a new Wellbeing Strategy – building upon the council's continued commitment to helping its residents live happy, healthy and independent lives.
