Police have warned motorists in Hadleigh that delays are expected as a tank starts its journey from the town on its way to Aberdeen this morning.

Drivers are advised that they may experience delays on from 10:30, as police escort the transportation of a storage tank, 4m wide, 4.8 high, 16.5m long, weighing 52,000kg in a convoy of two through the county.

The massive load will be escorted from Cookson & Zinn, Station Rd, Hadleigh to Aberdeen

The route will be as follows: - Local Roads – Pond Hall Rd – Duke St – A1071 – A1214 – A14 – Cambs Border

Delays can be expected along this route.
