Top Holbrook singer Charlie Pittman has vowed to carry on with his plans to carve out a career in Australia despite missing out on winning the country's version of The Voice final.

Charlie was one of four contestants to reach the last stage, which was shown over the weekend but just missed out on winning the whole competition to contestant Tarryn.

The Shotley peninsula star, who is also massive on Til Tok, took to social media to say: "Thank you to everyone who voted for me and supported me.

"This is just the beginning. I have so much planned don't you worry.

"Love you all so much. Honestly just so grateful for the whole experience."

Charlie had previously said in an interview how he planned to stay in Australia, where his dad hailed from, to make the most of his new found fame.

He told how he may not be recognised in the Co-op at Holbrook, but he was a famous face in Sydney.
