Polar bears have arrived at Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park, it has been confirmed by the owner.

Jimmy Doherty announced the arrival of two bears from Orsa Predator Park in Sweden, which has also sent polar bears to a wildlife reserve in Staffordshire, as it is being redeveloped.

An 18-year-old bear called Ewa and her cub Miki, have been housed in the park less than 12 miles from the centre of Hadleigh.

It has subsequently merged Miki died upon arrival at the park, from what Jimmy Doherty described as 'an underlying heart condition'.

In his documentary and statement on Facebook Jimmy Doherty claims the bears would have been put to sleep if he had not taken them. However, there is no evidence to back his claim and Orsa Park has made clear they were working with European authorities to re-home all the animals from the park.

Although it has been widely expected the polar bears would be arriving to join a pack of arctic wolves from Cumbia, as revealed by Nub News here... Jimmy's Farm has tried to keep it under wraps.

The bears and wolves, along with reindeer, will be part of a display opening to the public on October 21, which was announced on the farm's social media pages.

A £2 subscription is being sought to watch Jimmy Doherty's 'Big Bear Rescue' documentary.
