St Mary's church in Hadleigh was home to a musical concert hosted by church goers and musicians alike on Saturday night.

Organiser Claire Woods put on an a special evening of live music from an array of Hadleigh talents.

From Patsy Forsyths memorable adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webbers "Memory" to Marylou Delfgou's hypnotic flue performance of Gymnopédies, it was a show with a bit of everything for everyone.

Mrs Woods said: "There's been so few concerts here for the past couple of years we thought it would be nice to get everyone together.

"I think people are really enjoying the chance to perform together after so long because no one has been able to.

"All the people performing are part of the church community or congregation tonight, all the profits from this evening will go towards the church.

"Normally during the year we have a lot of fundraising events and over this past year we haven't been able to do that, so that was another reason, to be able to raise a bit of money.

"It was just a chance to get together, raise some money and have a good evening."

Claire's son, 16-year-old Ollie Woods, who is a very musically gifted person, performed in the show.

He played alongside his extremely talented father and accompanist of the evening Jon Woods, who also helped organise the event.

Ollie said: "I started playing the piano when I was six and I learnt with my dad's old teacher. Then I started singing five years ago.

"I really enjoy performing, I go to school where we do a lot of musical performing as well and that was obviously something I really missed.

"This is the first chance I've had to perform solo for a really long time so it's really enjoyable.

"Its a great chance for the friends of the church to get out, which they haven't been able to do for such a long time."
