A mobile food van offering Thai takeaways that visits Hadleigh and surrounding villages has been handed a five star rating by Babergh's food hygiene team.

The Real Thai van was inspected on 17 February and rated very good by inspectors and given the highest possible award.

Inspectors recommended the van owners gave up more space for clean utensil of shelves to prevent cross contamination and staff should wear protective clothing.

The Real Thai van had previously be given a one star rating but carried out all the recommendations made by inspectors and were instantly given a new five star ranking.
