Two new junior swings are to be installed in the Corks Lane play area after councillors agreed funding.

Councillor Andrew Knock proposed Hadleigh town council agree to spend up to £8,000 plus VAT on junior swings and two cradle swings, including frame.

Cllr Angela Wiltshire seconded the motion with the money to come from the town's Community Infrastructure Levy pot.

After some concerns were aired regarding the swings, Cllr Knock pushed for the motion to be passed at the last full council meeting rather than it being deferred, so children could enjoy the facility before the summer ended.

The motion was passed unanimously with installation to be completed as soon as possible.

Hadleigh council will meet on Thursday, August 4, with a 7pm start at the Guildhall. Member son the public are welcome to attend and the meeting can also be watched live via Zoom.
