Some 125 years after HG Wells predicted in War of the Worlds, it appears the Martians have launched their attack on planet Earth, with the Port of Felixstowe among their first targets.

As the image, taken by Nub News reader Nigel Shaw, shows the extra-terrestrial spaceship can be seen attacking a container laden ship alongside the docks.

Witness Olaf Poril was awoken by the early morning attack and said: "It was frightening to see this, it was like something out of a movie. I thought the Russians were coming and could not believe it when I realised it was aliens, probably from Essex."
