Brexit and Covid-19 has been blamed for a Hadleigh independent furniture shop closing down permanently.

Kelly Campbell-Staines and husband Keith Staines, the owners of the Little Grey Bird furniture shop in Hadleigh have told customers their business was hit by a double whammy of a third lockdown and Brexit.

The couple admitted they were sad to be closing and thanked their customers for their support on their website and social media page.

After initially offering a click and collect service they have now decided delivery is a safer option for customers and have started a closing down sale, with a socially-distanced delivery service within five miles of Hadleigh, or slightly further afield for large orders.

Described by customers as a quirky and unique interiors shop, the couple moved to Hadleigh's Maiden Way in November 2018, from Stonham Barns, after first launching at Helmingham Hall and Gardens six years ago.

More details of the closing down sale can be found on the Little Grey Bird website here...
