There will be fewer market stalls allowed at Hadleigh market today due to a change in the road closure procedure.

Babergh, which runs the market through Suffolk Market Events, are in talks with Suffolk Highways to determine a new procedure in allowing Market Place to be closed on Fridays.

A Babergh spokesperson said: "There will a slightly reduced number of stalls at Hadleigh Market.

"The temporary road closure which was put in place in March 2020 to support social distancing measures is being revisited due to the lifting of lockdown restrictions.

"However, we are working with Suffolk County Council to introduce a new road closure to allow the market to reopen fully in the coming weeks."

Hadleigh's market goes back centuries and now runs every Friday between 9am - 1pm.
