A multi-award-winning Suffolk business launched on a laptop on its founder's kitchen table is celebrating its 10th birthday.

Marketing agency Prominent PR has marked the milestone this month, as the Felixstowe firm continues to grow. 

The business was founded by award-winning PR consultant Helen Rudd from her home in 2014 and now employs 11 staff and serves a host of local and national clients.

Some of those clients have been with the business since its first day of trading.

Helen said: "This is a momentous milestone which really does mean the world for our business.

"Around 60% of businesses fail in their first three years, so to know we have cemented our place in the local business landscape is a fantastic feeling.

"We have also just relaunched our sister business Prominent Media this year, offering media buying and advertising services to clients across the country.

"These really are exciting times for us."

Prominent works with big name businesses in Suffolk and beyond, crafting numerous award-winning campaigns to boost their profiles and drive trade. 

That includes the "Hey 30 Million" campaign, highlighting the work of Diss-based social enterprise Hey Girls in donating more than 30 million period products to community organisations nationwide.

That work secured the firm a Gold Award at the Anglia, Thames and Chiltern PRide Awards last year, while it has also scooped numerous other industry awards since its launch.

Clients on its roster today include Suffolk Mind, the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, Woodforde's Brewery, Seamans Building and Combat2Coffee.

Helen said much of the firm's success is thanks to its "fantastic" staff.
