Hungry Hack food review: Huffers, fungi to be with their full English breakfast

By Derek Davis

It is not often Hungry Hack raves about mushroom but the fungi at Huffers really stood out.

It is probably fair to say most mushrooms added to breakfasts are pretty bland, but not so in this Hadleigh High Street cafe, with these locally sourced food diamonds.

Added to the small but perfectly formed Taste of Suffolk sausages and tasty bacon were fresh tomatoes and two sunny side up eggs, which came like that without even being asked how I like my eggs in the morning.

They make a point on the menu of mentioning the beans means Heinz, which complements an already quality all-day meal, which came with two slices of toast, making breakfast at Huffers a lovely experience.

Although the coffee was also top grade, I would have thought it would come in the £7.95 price tag, and I would have liked a hash brown included too, but that is probably just me being picky.

To be fair, it was a filling breakfast and faultless, friendly service meant this Hungry Hack will return and recommend others, who have not yet experienced Huffers, to get along.

I'm told the bacon baguettes are also something to behold and the choice on the board was pretty extensive, with vegetarian options available.

Although not packed on the day this Hungry Hack went, Huffers was busy and the ambience was pleasant and welcoming, with enough tables cleaned and ready for more peckish diners.

There is free parking for up to an hour right outside, and ideally located in the town centre to pop in either before or after shopping.

Nub News' Hungry Hack always arrives unannounced and pays full price for the food they review. It is their independent opinion of the food, service and ambience, they receive on that visit.
