A person caught on camera squatting in a drive after being caught short has apologised.

The man is seen quickly stepping into a drive in Angel Street, Hadleigh, pulling down his trousers doing his business, before wiping his backside with his hands, doing up his trousers and then leaving.

Police were informed and given a name of the suspected culprit.

A Suffolk Police spokesman today confirmed the man had suffered digestive problems but has subsequently apologised and returned to the scene to clean up his mess.

No further action by the police will be taken.

A short video of the incident was captured on a doorbell camera, complete with sound, and circulated around the town.
