The first episode of a series filmed largely in Kersey will be shown on Thursday next week

Magpie Murders will debut on Britbox on February 10, and eagle-eyed viewers will recognise much of the outside scenery.

Kersey's splash can be spotted with the The Bell Inn, was renamed The Queens Arms, for a couple of weeks last April.

Magpie Murders is based on Suffolk author Anthony Horowitz's bestselling novel and follows editor Susan Ryeland, whose life changes once she receives an unfinished manuscript.

Tim McMullan stars after replacing Timothy Spall who was originally cast as the lead in the series but had to pull out due to a scheduling clash

Crews working on the series were based just outside Hadleigh, bringing investment into the area.

Screen Suffolk recently revealed how 2021 had been a boon year with television and film production work providing a huge economic boost for the county. Full story here...
