Gale Pryor standing as Green Candidate in Hadleigh

I have lived in Hadleigh for almost 30 years and brought up my family here. I am an accountant by profession and was a founding shareholder and finance director for a construction company initially based in Hadleigh. I am now fortunate to have more time on my hands so I am able to volunteer in areas that interest me.

I have always believed in being an active member of my community and have been on many organisational committees over the years from playgroups and schools through various sports clubs to currently HEAT, Hadleigh Cycling Club and Hidden Gardens of Hadleigh.

I think it's important to have a range of voices in local politics, and now is the time for me to stand up and bring a fresh female perspective to strengthen our town and build a fair community that benefits all. I would be an independently minded Green, not told how to vote, so I would be free to speak on behalf of the town and residents.

Local councils have declared a climate emergency and an ecological crisis but I want to see some action on this not just words. I am part of HEAT (Hadleigh Environmental Action Team) and I would like to build on their work by being an active Green member in Hadleigh.
