Hadleigh United suffered their third league defeat in a week after going down 2-1 at home to Fakenham.

Although Curtis Harvey gave Steve Holder's side a glimmer of hope when he equalised Alex Basero's opener, Hadleigh were undone when Alex Walpole headed in a Basero corner for the Ghosts.

One win in six games leaves Hadleigh, who go to Haverhill tomorrow, eight in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division.

Such is their gruelling schedule, after three games last week, Hadleigh entertain Mulbarton Rovers two days after their Haverhill trip, then go to Thetford on Saturday.
