Substitute Jordan Patrick had a mixed afternoon as Hadleigh lost 4-2 at Soham Town Rangers in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division.

Patrick went on as a sub for the injured Ethan Clark and sent in the corner for Mason Harvey to nod in for the Brettsiders.

But Patrick saw red late on for a late challenge, and Soham grabbed the fourth through shortly after as Byron Adiado bagged his brace.

Sam Mills also headed in for Hadleigh, while Luke Mallett hit the frame of the goal with a good effort.

Hadleigh conceded a penalty, which was converted by Ryan Sharman, with Ryan Chipps chipping in with another for Rangers.
