Woodlands Farm Shop's newly constructed building located just outside Hadleigh near Hintlesham, is in its final preparations before its opening on the 31st January.

Diana Bryce, the owner, as part of her local ethos initiative, has brought together a selection of hampers to show off the 70 plus suppliers that will be featured within the shop in the new year.

The hampers are available now and are being marketed as the perfect Christmas gift or even special treat.

Diana said: "We've got more than 10 different hampers and they are all totally different from each other, we are showcasing all of the different suppliers that we can in our hamper format.

"All the amazing ingredients, which are additive free, are local and are also extremely tasty.

"We have more than 70 local suppliers. And if there are any more that would like to join we'd be very happy to have them as part of the shops range of products."

Among the Suffolk suppliers from near to Woodlands are Copdock Hall Vineyard, Dedham Vale Honey, Fabulous Fungi, Applewood Acres and Cradoc's Savoury Biscuits.

Diana described the final preparations for the farm-shop and what they have recently been up to.

She said: "We will be officially opening on Monday January 31. We are going to be different to the large chains as we are giving each of our suppliers their own designated area for their range of products.

"We hope that people will love this and we know that all the suppliers are really happy about it too.

"When the shop opens we are going to be packed full of fresh local produce like pastries and breads from Capel Bakery and we've got Innes Family Butchers in Hadleigh supplying our fresh meats.

"We are also using Home Farm for a range of fresh fruit and vegetables too. Where we be suppling seasonal vegetables so people can see and feel the different seasons as we go through the year.

"We will have a selection of preserves and sauces, a range of ice creams in our freezer section, fresh smoke fish and deli meats and even cakes from Wheaten Mill, the list goes on.

"For us its all about coming in to buy food and creating a fresh local seasonal experience for our customers, we want our customers to return and that's why are prices are going to be very reasonable.

"The most challenging aspects have been trying to find staff and the building itself has been quite complex in a number of areas.

"We wanted to be open before Christmas but we couldn't make that date. Fortunately we have the hampers for people to experience and even give as gifts for Christmas.

"We hope that everyone who is local will join in with our ethos that, local is important."
