The long wait is over as the England football squad have reached the final of the Euros 2020.

This begs the question, where will you be for the England v Italy final? And where are the best places locally to watch the game?

There are two main pubs in the town that will be showing the game.

The Eight Bells Inn located at the junction of Threadneedle Street and Angel street, boasts two 42 inch screens with a special on Carlsberg at £3 a pint. They open at mid day on Sunday.

They are excited about the game but are staying neutral. A spokesperson said that they had no idea who will win on Sunday and added: "The pub's owners are an Italian family, so the game can go either way, it doesn't matter for us."

Outside seating is available and all Covid restrictions still apply.

Another screening the game which is just down the road located on the junction of Threadneedle Street and George street, is The Cock Inn which opens at mid day on Sunday.

They say they have a large screen with outside seating and two screens at the bar as well. They offer Abbots for £3.50, Amstell for £4.00, a medium merlot for £3.50 and a medium Sauvignon Blanc for £3.50.

The landlord said: "I'm pretty sure we are the cheapest for beer in Hadleigh," and added: "Of course we are looking forward to the game, the whole country is, and an England win."

Most other places in Hadleigh that require pre bookings such as The Royal British Legion are already sold out, you can ring or check on their website if any availability becomes free.
