Where to go and what to do on Suffolk's Heritage Days in Hadleigh

Each September thousands of volunteers across the country invite you to experience local history, architecture and culture. All for free.

This year Heritage Open days returns between 10-19 September and here are a couple in Hadleigh for you to enjoy.

Hadleigh Guided Walks

Sunday 12 September: 1400 - Hadleigh Past and Present Town Tour

Friday 17 September: 1100 - Walking With Trees

Sunday 19 September: 1100 - Miss Lawrence goes Shopping 1918 (Drama Tour)

The Town Guides will offer three different guided walks FREE. All tours start from the Bus Station Magdalen Road

Hadleigh Past and Present Town Tour - A Viking King, a fearless long distance aviator and an artist and plantsman are all part of our story. The tour includes a visit to the exhibition about the artist and plantsman "Memories of Sir Cedric Morris. 90 minutes

Walking with Trees Town & Riverside Walk.- Discover the origins and mythology of some of nature's elder statesmen. 25 different trees explored. 90 minutes

Miss Lawrence goes Shopping 1918 (Drama Tour) - Join Miss Lawrence as she visits the High St shops but as they were in the last year of WW1. Wartime rationing, day to day life and a little gossip.Approximately 45 minutes.
