With plenty to do in the Hadleigh area this weekend, here are our top picks.

Sewing workshop

Sewing workshop at Hitcham Village Hall

With the increasing need for recycling and reusing in response to climate change, Saturday will be the perfect opportunity to learn new skills at Hitcham Village Hall with a sewing workshop.

Bring your own fabrics that you need altered and repaired and you will learn invaluable skills on how to alter and repair fabrics yourself. Also, you can bring along an old bed sheet or duvet cover and learn how to upcycle them into a tote bag.

East Bergholt Monthly Market

East Bergholt Monthly Market

Also on Saturday morning, there will be another installment of East Bergholt Monthly Market at Lambe School.

Here you can get all your fresh produce needs whilst also helping local businesses/producers. There will be a large selection of different produce and craft stalls available on the day.

Hadleigh Duck & Raft Race

Sunday will see the Hadleigh Duck & Raft Race come to Toppesfield Bridge. Get a team together for Hadleigh's wettest event.

Bet on a duck and watch it race to the finish line. Bacon rolls, hot dogs and drinks will be available at riverside and a BBQ with live music will take place afterwards at The George.
