Two new councillors have joined Hadleigh's town council after they were the only nominees, meaning an election due to take place on December 2, will not have to be held.

Peter Gower, of Wentworth Road, and Sue Monks of Benton Street, will make their first appearance at the full council meeting on Thursday.

Both stood as Independents to fill the seats vacated by former Hadleigh Together members Richard Hinton and Lisa Gordon.
