On This Day

In 1949 prog rock legend Rick Wakeman was born. Rick, who now lives in south Suffolk, was famous for his keyboard and all round musical skills with The Strawbs and Yes before embarking on a hugely successful solo career as a singer songwriter, presenter and producer. Even at the ripe old age of 72, Rick continues to work and is currently filming a new series of Rick's Plaice. Twice married, Rick has six children.
