A man in his 30s has come forward after police issued an appeal for help to identify a suspect in connection with a racially aggravated assault in Hadleigh

It related to an incident in Partridge's on the High Street on Saturday 16 July.

A man aged in his 60s was in store when he was pushed by another man, causing the victim to fall to the ground. The victim knocked his head as a result of the fall and was further kicked in the head and face by the suspect who then fled the scene.

An altercation had taken place between the two parties about 10 minutes previously outside in the High Street over a parking space.

Police issued a CCTV appeal and a man aged in his 30s has now came forward in connection with the incident. He has been interviewed under caution on a voluntary basis and is assisting with ongoing enquiries.
