Sunday Thought
Now is the time for Canadian geese goslings, like those at the Strand, begin pecking at small objects, and spend most of their time sleeping and feeding. They remain with their parents constantly, though sometimes "gang broods" form. These can include at least two broods, and sometimes five or more, that travel, feed, and loaf together, accompanied by at least one adult. The young often remain with their parents for their entire first year, especially in the larger subspecies. As summer wanes birds become more social; they may gather in large numbers at food sources; where food is limited and patchy, may compete with displays and fights.Today's Hadleigh sunrise: 05:35
Today's Hadleigh sunset: 20:10Weather:
Chilly but largely sunny start, then becoming cloudier for many areas. But still some sunny spells will occur. Highest temperatures in the west, feeling chilly along the coast. Maximum Temperature 12c, low of 3cOrwell Bridge:
OpenJoke of the day:
Why do geese fly south for the winter?Because it's too far to walk.
Sunday reflection:
[I]The Lord is my shepherd; therefore can I lack nothing.
Surely goodness and loving mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.[I]
