Children across the districts have a great range of activities to enjoy this February half term thanks to a programme of events put together by Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils.

Activities on the schedule include arts and crafts, multi-sport holiday clubs, outdoor adventure days, dance camps and much more. The whole family can also get involved with swimming sessions taking place in both Hadleigh and Stowmarket.

All of the activities are taking place between Monday, 17 February and Friday, 21 February, with the programme funded and coordinated by the two councils.

Cllr Tim Weller, Mid Suffolk District Council cabinet member for environment, culture and wellbeing, said: "We know that many children will be looking forward to the half term, but we also know that not all families can manage to take the time off work or go on expensive family days out.

"That's why we are keen to support by put together an exciting and diverse timetable during the school holidays, helping to keep children happy, safe and active."

Free places are reserved for those who receive free school meals or those otherwise in need, but most sessions are available to be booked for a small fee. Activities can be booked using the Eequ platform.

Cllr Laura Smith, cabinet member for thriving communities, said: "As always, I'd like to thank our partners across the district for carrying out these sessions and making a difference in their communities.

"We hope the range of activities on offer means that every child has the opportunity to take part in something they love or even find a new interest."
