Babergh district council in collaboration with Hadleigh's Environmental Action Team (HEAT) have made it possible for the town's citizens to get involved and help the environment.
A Babergh district council spokesperson said: "Since September, we've collaborated with HEAT to run regular environmental action days in the town.
"Made up of local volunteers, the group takes part in a range of activities such as scrub clearance, meadow management and tree planting at local sites across Hadleigh, including The 'Fuzz', Railway Walk and Broom Hill Local Nature Reserves, to support their local environment.
"Supporting community groups to get active, spend time outdoors and take steps to support the environment is an important part in delivering our wellbeing strategy and climate change ambitions.
"We encourage anyone who's interested in taking part, to get involved by emailing: [email protected]."
Anyone interested in taking part can just turn up on the day but are advised to call ahead. Be sure to take some lunch and sturdy shoes or wellies to really get stuck in.
All tools and light refreshments are provided and Council staff and HEAT members are on hand to support any new volunteers.
The next date coming up is the 24 November with their winter programme starting on the 12th January 2022.
