A patient who constantly went to Hadleigh Health Centre without an appointment and made more than 300 calls to the 111 line, has been handed a conditional discharge by Suffolk Magistrates.

Robert Dawson, of Ancaster Road, Ipswich, pleaded guilty to making 306 calls to the 111 service between August 1 and September 1, with no genuine medical reason, and breaching a community protection order.

The 38-year-old also admitted making numerous visits to Hadleigh health centre surgery without an appointment, when he appeared at Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 12.

Dawson was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £105 in costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
