Lack of councillors forces Hadleigh council to cancel Town Matters meeting

A lack of councillors has forced Hadleigh council to cancel tonight's Town Matters meeting.

Despite only three councillors being needed to make the meeting quorate, only two, Huw Roberts and Gavin Talbot were available, while the other committee members, Cllrs Pryor, Beer and Dixon sent their apologies.

Therefore, the meeting had to be cancelled.

Councillors were due to consider grant applications and award grant funding totalling nearly £6.000

These included:

£3,000 to Hadleigh Community Choir towards the costs of recording

a 'Now that's what I call Hadleigh Community Choir' - a recording of

the choir's greatest hits £800 to HEAT's River Brett Water Quality Citizen Science project c) £600 to Sudbury Rotary Clubs Crucial Crew -'hands-on' activity

based learning for up to 123 Hadleigh Year 6 school children

£1,216 to Hadleigh Cricket Club for a public access defibrillator

They were also due consider the Busking Policy and to recommend to Council Matters that this is approved.
