Shoppers who enjoy local produce bargains can pick up a cut price offer this weekend as a farm shop near Hadleigh offers a closing down sale.

The Woodlands Farm Shop and Cafe, near Birch Farm in Hintlesham, off the A1070, will cease trading on Sunday afternoon (January 22) due to the cost of living crisis.

Diana and Richard Bryce, along with son Joe, opened Woodlands less than year ago in a bid to give a platform to local products and businesses that don't normally get one.

But trading in the current economic climate has proved tough and the owners said in a statement: "Unfortunately we have had to make the hard decision to close woodlands farm shop and cafe.

"The decision wasn't an easy one to make but due to rising costs within the economy, it's no longer sustainable for us to continue.

"Everything in the shop will be up to 50% off (alcohol 25% off).

"We want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us in this past year."
