Hadleigh's much loved, and now missed lime tree, has featured in a book about trees.

The famous tree, planted almost 200 years ago next to the Deanery by St Marys Church, which was cut down by Hadleigh town council, held such a special place in people's hearts a special letter message was penned.

The Little Girl and her Lime Tree, read by Holly Turner from the University of Suffolk's Creative Writing course is included in their book about trees across the county and tells the story of a little girl revealing all her innermost thoughts to the lime non-judgemental tree.
