Hadleigh town mayor elected

Frank Minns has been elected as mayor of Hadleigh again.

Cllr Minns has held the post since last September following the resignation of Helen Allen in August 2020.

The mayoral role is voted on annually, usually in May and Cllr Minns was duly elected at last night's Hadleigh town council meeting by a majority vote.

Councillors and observers attended the meeting in person for the first time since March 2020 but there were issues with hearing what was being said at times, as social distancing meant members were a long way apart. Those watching via Zoom had difficulty hearing what was being discussed as microphones were not connected to the system.
