A Hadleigh town councillor last night resigned in frustration after constantly being told he could not ask questions at a full council meeting.

Andrew Knock became exasperated at stand in chairman Bill Wilson refusing to allow him to ask questions on behalf of resident on a variety of issues.

Cllr Wilson told Cllr Knock the clerk Wendy Brame, district councillors Mick Fraser and Sian Dawson did not have to answer his questions. They all ignored Cllr Wilson and answered anyway.

Mr Knock left the meeting after Cllr Rickaby Shearly-Sanders put a motion preventing the council to discuss an investigation into prejudice and discrimination involving Cllr Carol Schleip and another person who is no longer a councillor and accusations Cllr Rolf Beggerow recorded thee proceedings without informing applicants he was doing so and without their permission.

Ironically, Cllr Shearly-Sanders himself previously resigned from Hadleigh town council after an email exchange between him and Cllr Schleip when he suggested he would 'rough up' the town staff.
