Celotex is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and is a leading manufacturer of high performance PIR thermal insulation boards within the UK.

There is some specific experience/skills/knowledge we are looking for from suitable candidates;

Sound understanding of safety procedures and practises

Essential will be a can do attitude and passion that will set us apart from our competition.

Skill and product/sector knowledge is an education that can be taught.

Drive, passion and hard work come from within. In our team it is essential we demonstrate this, every day and support our own teams in the same way.

What will I be doing in the role?

Our Machine / multi-skilled Operators are very important to the smooth running of the business. Their role is important to help ensure products are where they need to be on time, with a particular emphasis on quality and communication skills. To support our customers effectively you will;

Ensure quality checks are completed to the right standard

Have a good working attitude

Maintain good communication skills, with both customers and your team

You will help keep our business running smoothly and ensure that the products we produce are of excellent quality for our customers.

Be responsible for the safe and correct operation of plant machinery and equipment. Full training will be provided, but experience in a machine setting/operating environment would be advantageous.

Choose the correct materials and programmes to produce excellent quality Celotex products.

Monitor equipment performance and report any defects or problems immediately.

Ensure that during production all parameters are met or exceeded without loss of quality or downtime and ensure that records are accurate and kept up to date.

Keep the Team Leader/Ops Shift Manager and Quality Control fully informed of any quality related problems with regard to chemicals, raw materials, or finished products.

This is a night shift role, which the current working pattern is Sun-Thurs 22:00-06:00. There will be a need for approx. 3 months training on a day shift rotation, before going to the full night shift role. (Exact hours can be discussed to accommodate all parties)
