Hadleigh business failed to pay £311k tax bill

A Hadleigh fast food business has defaulted on a tax bill of more than £311,000, HMRC have revealed.
Fiston Ltd Takeaway, which operated as Hadleigh Fast Food, from 69 High Street in the town has from the Hadleigh failed to pay a total of £462,429.71 in tax and duty between April 2014 and April 2020.
HMRC, then adjusted the penalty figure to £311,635.04.
Although Fiston Ltd successfully applied for a £50,000 Bounce Back loan during lockdown, the parent company did not survive the pandemic downturn in trade.
The business which, according to Companies House, was owned by 47-year-old Ahmet Koksal, who formally applied for Fiston Ltd, trading as Hadleigh Kebab Shop to go into liquidation in September 2021 with debts of £362.637.05.
Fiston Ltd Takeaway, changed its registered address from 69 High Street, Hadleigh, to 601 High Road Leytonstone, London, on 28 September 2021, then the company was formally liquidated in September last year.
Mr Koksal, who lived at Ikerman Close in Hadleigh, remains an active director
Details of the defaulted payment appeared on the Gov.UK website, which lists deliberate tax defaulters for 2022.
Each entry on this list is specific to the default dates to which it refers. The address is the one associated with the published person at the time of the default. For example:
- the published person may have changed their behaviour
- the published person may no longer be at the published address
- the business currently at the published address may have no connection with published business
- the business currently at the published address may have the same name as the published business but could be under completely new management
