More than 12,000 people flocked to the 181st Hadleigh Show, which made welcome return after a two year absence.
This was country life at its very best with an inclusive, wide ranging show with something for everyone.
Four generations of families basked in the glorious weather at Holbecks Park to take in scores of stalls, exhibitions, displays and fun racing.
The main arena held displays ranging from competitive hay-baling, moto-cross, and the Suffolk Festival torch relay being carried by James Wilding, and a range of animals being shown off to their best.
Meanwhile, in a smaller arena, lawn mower racing, made even more interesting with mechanical malfunctions, soapbox running, with some actually going through the slalom courses.
The colourful fairground was filled with the sounds of shrieks of joy, and the children joined in too.
Youngsters queued to take part in archery with targets spaced out with the more competent trying to hit a strategically placed bear and deer.
They are also able to clamber on heavy machinery, including tractors and diggers.
The sheep grandstand was hugely popular as people learned about the various breeds and were treated to some disco dancing by the enthusiastic ewes and rams, Strictly it wasn't, but endearing and entertaining nonetheless.
A variety of food stalls, selling buffalo burgers, wraps, chips, crepes, jacket potatoes and many other tasty treats were well used, the beer tent was extremely busy on a hot day.
Another favourite was quintessential strawberries and cream, with a vendor doing well as he walked around.
Hadleigh Show director Luke Burdall Goodchild had described the event as a showcase for country life and it achieved its aim in reaching out to all rural dwellers and townies alike.
The pride and joy of farmers and animal owners were evident in the various livestock shown at their very best.
There were more than 200 different categories with more than 1,000 entries, judged on the day, with prizes and rosettes awarded.
Spectators packed the main stand, and were more than three deep all around the arena for the grand parade as Suffolk Horses, Heavy Horses, Skewbald and Piebalds, Hunters, Cobs, Showjumbers, Mountain and Moorland colts and fillies and geldings.
Fittingly in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee year, a horse called Queen Elizabeth was among the top winners.
Prize bulls, cows, donkeys and sheep were also shown off while a number of riders and handlers, of all ages were recognised.
There were also awards for photographers and metal workers.
