Located in the town's Market Place, Hadleigh United Reformed Church (Hadleigh URC) has confirmed its programme of community activities in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
According to church minister, Revd Bryn Rickards: "For many people, the winter months can be quite challenging, especially so when set against the backdrop of rising energy costs and prices more generally.
"As a church which serves our local community and whose facilities, including the Ansell Centre, are well-used by local groups, we wanted to create additional opportunities for people to come together in a supportive and relaxing environment during the season of Advent."
As a result, Hadleigh URC has announced the following pre-Christmas programme:
* 27 November from 10.30am: Cafe Church - a chance to join an informal service in the Ansell Centre over bacon butties, croissants and tea and coffee. Just turn up. Great for families!
* From 2 December onwards: Hadleigh URC warm room – with even warmer welcome and refreshments. Between 11am and 3pm every Friday, we are opening the Community Room, serving teas, coffees, soup and offering a friendly place to rest up or have a chat.
* 3 December from 3pm: Christmas Tree display - users of Hadleigh URC's rooms and other groups are being invited to decorate a Christmas Tree each in a way themed with the focus of their activities and we will be opening the Church from 3pm until 7pm to show a dazzling display of seasonal artistry. Free activities for the children in the Church and refreshments in the Ansell Centre.
