Mick Fraser remained his seat as Hadleigh's representative at Suffolk County Council and vowed to make the town an even better place to live work and play.
Conservative member Fraser beat Independent Kathryn Grandon into second place, with the Green's Gale Pryor, Labour's Angela Wiltshire and Lib Dem Trevor Sheldrick also in the running.
As the incumbent, Fraser is keen too get straight back to work and has identified issues with the pylons scarring the area, ongoing highways problems and localised town concerns as immediate priorities.
"FortunatelyI have four years experience mens I know how the county works and which officers to approach," said Cllr Fraser. "That means I can be more efficient in getting things done.
"We want to take on the green agenda and for Hadleigh we have the power pylons coming across the county, which we need to address and highways issues. We are looking to do great things for Hadleigh and make things better for all of us.
"As both a county and Babergh district councillor I work closely, and will continue to work closely with the tow council and tying up those three levels of local government is important to make sure the residents have a voice and we make the Hadleigh as a town a better place to live, work and play."
Cllr Fraser, who also has a full time job at RAF Wattisham working with the Apache helicopters, admitted campaigning had been a strain but thanks all his Tory helpers.
"It was hard work on top of my existing work load, so it was a case of finding time," he said.
"But the party worked well together as team and we had a lot of feet on the ground to get the leaders out and get the message across, so it was a job well done."
Cllr Fraser's win reflects the overall control the Conservatives still enjoy at Suffolk County Council, although the Green party have increased their seats, mainly at the expense of the Lib Dems and Labour parties.
Two of the county council candidates, Angela Wiltshire and Gale Pryor are hoping to be more successful on Monday when the town council votes are counted.
