Last Saturday, at Bridge Farm Barns, many festive stalls were selling gifts for the Christmas season, with locals looking to support businesses and have a jolly time.

Nub news spoke to some of the stall vendors who came out for the Christmassy occasion.

Abbey Tokley the maker and owner of her candle and scent business Boho and Rose, which she started back in March as a lockdown project, said: "It evolved from our lockdown project to what it is now, we have over 12 scents all together, our normal everyday range and our Christmas section that we have for the festive season."

"Its good to do the small markets like this one as it gives us a chance, we are quite local so it's nice for people to be able to meet us and meet the makers."

Other vendors included the rotary club from Manningtree who looked to raise money for local charities this year the president David Willis Said: "We do events and things like this just to raise money and all the money we raise from now until Christmas with sleigh collections and Christmas grottos, will go to local charities"

"We are doing home made mulled wine here today one of our members makes a cracking mulled wine and we've also done teas and coffee and mince pies too. This is the best time of year for us we love it."

The rotary club is one of the largest service organisation in the world and their mulled wine definitely tasted excellent.

We also spoke to the mother and daughter team Vanessa Cox (Mum) and Shelley Ann Heath (Daughter) who run their Buzzy Bee Wax Melts and Homemade greeting cards business.

They said: "Its beautiful and lovely here, its really nice venue, the people here are lovely the store holders are amazing. Its a really beautiful atmosphere.

"It has been really successful today with a really good footfall as well, which is great for business."

The festive Fayre was a great start to this season of gift giving and spending time with your family with many family owned stalls taking advantage of the holiday season.
