It is alleged the labradoodle type pet was set upon after it barked at horses and hounds from the Essex and Suffolk hunt as they were being exercised in Rands Road, Layham, on Tuesday, 15 August at 8.30am.

The elderly dog walker was left shocked and upset by the incident.

Meanwhile, police have confirmed the pet was injured and needed treatment by a vet.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
