Alan Ferguson – A clarification

In a news report dated 27th November 2020 Hadleigh Nub News reported on the intention of Alan Ferguson to stand as a candidate representing Hadleigh in the Suffolk County Council election to be held later this year.

The report, which was written with reference to extracts from local newspapers, unfortunately included incorrect statements regarding where he lived and the reasons for his leaving the Babergh Conservative Group in 2018. We are happy to clarify that Alan Ferguson is a Hadleigh resident, and that he left the Conservative Group when he and Cllr John Ward were unable agree his nominations for the Babergh cabinet appointments offered in exchange for Alan Ferguson not challenging him for the leadership role.

We apologise for any inconvenience our error may have caused at the time.
