A customer is boycotting a Chinese takeaway in Hadleigh High Street for not showing the correct food hygiene rating.

A complaint has been made about Jasmine House Chinese after it received a 2/5 hygiene rating as the result of an inspection on 12 January.

However, the takeaway is yet to update the rating displayed on the front of their property, which, still shows 5/5.

One customer told Nub News that as a result of the low rating, they have now stopped using the takeaway.

They added: "I think it's only right that they show the correct food hygiene rating in their window. Or, at the very least, they should remove their old rating."

Jasmine House has been contacted for comment.
