SUFFOLK Council's highways department will be closing Hadleigh bypass overnight for five nights next month as it carried out 'urgent' repair work.

The closure will mean a 36-mile diversion route for some vehicles unable to use alternative narrow roads.

The A1071 bypass will be closed between 7pm to 5am from Tuesday, 7 May to Saturday, 11 May.
